Is there a minimum stay? There is a two night minimum stay, however special arrangements can be made in certain circumstances. Please contact the owner with such requests.
How do I know if it is available? Once you have the dates you are interested in, please call or email. From here we will send you a reservation agreement. As long as you send the reservation agreement back within two weeks we will hold your space.
How do I check in? Once your reservation is accepted, we will provide you with a code to open the property. You may check in yourself.
What time is check in and check out? Check in is anytime after 2:00 pm on the day your reservation beings. Please check out by 11:00 am on your final day of your stay.
Do you serve breakfast? We do not offer daily breakfast, however we do have dining guides available and are located very close to ample restuarants and grocery stores. There is a coffee maker with fresh coffee always available. The carriage house has a full chef’s kitchen, and we provide a full set of utensils for cooking and dining.
Do you have maid service? We do not provide a daily maid service, however if you staying with us for more than 10 days there will be a maid that comes to freshen your linens and clean the carriage house.
What is the neighborhood like and is it safe? The carriage house is located in a downtown neighborhood that is surrounded by some of the most historic homes in Charlottesville. Charlottesville as a whole is a wonderful community in which you find people walking throughout. however as in most any city, driving to evening activities is recommended.
Is there off street parking? Yes, we prefer for you to use one garage space. The garage door opener will be left for you on the kitchen counter upon your arrival.
Do you allow pets? We do allow dogs, however, no cats. We ask is that your canine is house broken and trained not to get on the furniture. There is a fenced in yard behind the main house that you may use to let your dog out.
Do you allow smoking? Smoking is prohibited inside of the house. Please only smoke on the back deck. A fee will be assessed if smoking has occurred inside of the house.
What types of payment do you accept? Checks, Visa, Master Card, and American Express.
